Quiet enough beats total silence
Total silence is a promise no earplug keeps. Turning the night down enough to stay asleep is one we can.
Our story
Quiet exists because everything we tried either hurt by 3 a.m. or didn't quiet the night enough to matter. This is the short version of how we ended up making our own.
The nights that started it
We're light sleepers. The kind who hear the neighbor's dog, the radiator, a partner rolling over. For years the fix was a nightly gamble: foam that pressed into the pillow side, softer plugs that barely dented the noise, and a groggy morning either way.
Every box promised silence
Total silence. Blocks all sound. We bought every earplug that made those promises, and none of them were true by 3 a.m. The promise itself turned out to be the problem: we didn't need the night muted, just turned down.
So we made our own
We stopped chasing silence and built for the night you actually have: silicone soft enough to keep in on the pillow side, a seal that turns the noise down instead of off, and enough of the room left that your alarm still gets through. Four tip sizes in the box, because ears aren't one size.
"We bought every earplug that promised total silence. All of them failed the same way by 3 a.m., so we stopped chasing silence and built for the night you actually have"
The Quiet team
Light sleepers building for light sleepers
Total silence is a promise no earplug keeps. Turning the night down enough to stay asleep is one we can.
An earplug only works if it's still in at 3 a.m. If it hurts on the pillow side, it ends up on the nightstand, and then it blocks nothing.
We don't chase spec numbers. We chase the morning after: woken by your alarm instead of the hallway, rested instead of resentful.
It's also why the guarantee runs 60 nights instead of 30 days. That's long enough to test them on your worst nights, not just a good week. If they're not for you, send them back for a full refund.
